Smart Replicas research project

Smart Replicas is a research project of Studio Maaike Roozenburg, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, AR Lab en TU-Delft; a project at the intersection of design, cultural heritage and science. Students of the KABK's Graphic Design department, under guidance of Gert Dumbar and the AR Lab, will contribute on this project. Students of Industrial Design Engineering department of Delft University of Technology will work on this project as well.

With the announcement of Google Glass augmented reality eye-wear (or head mounted displays as they were called before) suddenly became a hot topic. With the announcement of Google Glass augmented reality eye-wear (or head mounted displays as they were called before) suddenly became a hot topic. Since Delft University of Technology has been developing augmented reality headsets for a long time together with the AR Lab (TU Delft is actually one of the pioneers in this field), we are following Google's developments with high interest.
